Spatula Making for Beginners (morning session)
Sun, 11 December 2016, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PST
Learn how to make your own hardwood spatula! Our facilitator, Devon, is a seasoned spatula-maker. You'll learn how to make a spatula using a mix of techniques; you'll learn how to use power tools like the band saw and the belt sander, and sanding techniques. We'll also cover finishing options, and different types of wood ideal for spatula-making. This workshop is for beginner spatula makers and we will assume you've never made a spatula before. We will also focus on the safe use of all tools. We're doing 2 workshops on the same day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Space is limited and our workshops sell out quickly! The workshop will be held outside, under cover, so dress warmly! Every participant will bring home 1 spatula.
$25 for members, $30 for non-members
