About this Event

Planet Madagascar

Join Travis Steffens, assistant professor in the Department of Sociology & Anthropology at the University of Guelph, regional director of the Explorers Club, and founding executive director of Planet Madagascar, for an engaging talk. Madagascar is the most singular place in the world. Separated from the mainland of Africa for over 80 million years, Madagascar has been an evolutionary experiment on steroids. From leaping lemurs to strange leaf-tailed geckos and webthrowing spiders, find out what else makes Madagascar so cool. This talk connects to our winter exhibit, Under the Canopy.

Thursday Feburary 18 2020; 7 to 8:30 p.m.
