Come join us during the afternoon of Sunday, September 19 for a 'Fall Festival' event at the property from 12 noon to 5 pm!
Centering around country fair-themed events on the lawn behind the clubhouse, join us for:
- carnival games
- tug-of-war
- sack races
- face painting
- scavenger hunt
- BBQ lunch
Presenters from the Alberta Trappers Association, the Invasive Species Council, and the Beaverhill Bird Observatory will have information booths at the fairgrounds.
From 1 to 4 pm, we'll have a series of 'discovery' events going on throughout the property:
Discover Angling - come and try angling at the fish pond with one of our loaner rods and the help of an angling instructor
Discover Archery - try archery with one of our loaner bows at the archery range
Discover Silhouette - give rimfire silhouette shooting a try on the Rimfire range under the guidance and watchful eye of volunteers from our silhouette group
Discover Black Powder – experience black powder rifle and pistol shooting with volunteers from our black powder group, and try your and at tomahawk and knife throwing
Discover Biathlon - try out biathlon with the assistance of volunteers from our biathlon group
You'll be conveyed country-style from the fairgrounds to event sites & back via hayride - no need to drive & repark after arriving for the day!
From 4 to 4:30 pm, we'll present the 2019 and 2020 SPFGA Wildlife Awards.
From 4:30 to 5 pm we'll have a brief General Meeting *
At 5 pm, we'll conduct the prize draws. Up for grabs this year are a fishing rod & reel ($200 value), a 2022 Family Range membership (a $221 value), a bow ($400 value), a .22 thumbhole target rifle ($600 value), a variety of SPFGA-branded merchandise, and other goodies.
Your ticket gets you access to all of the above...a fun event for the whole family!
Children 2 years old and under are no charge.
