Description
The Future of Accessibility and Inclusion: The Digital World Needs Ramps Too!
Join Rob Attwell, Founder/COO of myBestHelper, as he explores how information and communication technologies - and wireless technologies in particular - offer the potential to assist those with mobility issues and other impairments. They promise more independence and participation in work, life and play, but technology is both an enabler and a barrier to people with disabilities.
Rob will pose thought-provoking questions such as:
• How can we make the ‘technology world’ as accessible as the ‘physical world’ to all people with disabilities?
• How is Canada to create a better place for them, and ultimately ourselves, as the population ages and experiences the onset of disabilities?
• What are the challenges we see in our own future as we navigate in a digital world?
