Description
Spiritus Ensemble presents the first Canadian performance of the Bach/Kaiser/Handel St Mark Passion of 1747. Bach created this piece, technically known as a pasticcio, our of music by Kaiser, Handel and himself, for performance in Leipzig on Good Friday of 1747.
Performers: Daniel Lichti, Jesus; Lenard Whiting, Evangelist; Stephanie Kramer, soprano; Jennifer Enns Modolo, mezzo soprano; Steve Surian, tenor; Kirk Lackenbauer, bass; kenneth Hull, conductor. With the Choir of Spiritus Ensemble and Nota Bene Baroque Players.
