Event description

Description

These four wonderful speakers have been working on their stories to share! We are back at Mustard Seed, at 791 Queen Street East (at Strange Street). A yummy meal is included in your ticket price. This event is wheelchair accessible.

Clare Kumar - Why You Need to Put Yourself First

I was an ultra-crabby mom in the mornings as I struggled to get myself and the kids ready and out the door on time. In truth, I was waking up exhausted every morning. A lack of sleep sabotages you and your relationships. Find out what you can do to turn things around. It’s easier than you think and quite frankly, you’re worth it.

Laura Robinson - “Life’s a G.A.M.E.”

Multi-hyphenate actress-author-inventor-producer-mom, Laura Robinson co-invented the best-selling, classic board game, Balderdash in her mid-twenties. She’ll share her story of creating the hilarious family game, producing the television game show, Celebrity Name Game and offer her own inspiring brand of grateful wisdom with a hefty dash of humour!

Elizabeth Verwey - How I spent my Summer Vacation

I'll share the highs and lows of my first long road trip on my own. I rented out my apartment and headed off to where I was born: Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Our roots are important to understand. Find out what I learned by “going home”.

Petra Kassun-Mutch - The Radical Resurgence of a Feminist Entrepreneur

I experienced a mega "Snap" when the lawyer for the other side opened his inquiry with, "Do You Have a Lingerie Fetish?" This was the starting point for a journey I could have never predicted. I learned it is not enough to be as we have always been. Now is the time to test boundaries, leave the cage, and embrace radical growth.

Please consider bringing knitting yarn or craft supplies that will be used in workshops for the Mustard Seed women to create beautiful things. Mustard Seed supports a community of women in need.

Getting there - There's a small parking lot on the east side of Strange Street and street parking or use the Queen streetcar. Please arrive at 6:00 to help yourself to a yummy meal and chat with others. The speakers begin at 7:00 and we wrap up at 8:30 and the event will finish at 9:00 pm.

This event is wheelchair accessible.
