Sport Tourism has significant economic benefits, fosters community pride, creates lasting legacies and supports the growth of sport culture.

We invite you to join us at the Sport Durham Convergence where we will share, learn, grow partnerships and collaborate to advance sport tourism in Durham Region.

Our exciting line-up includes:

  • Sport Durham Updates

  • Keynote Address, You're a Hurdler, You Just Don't Know It, presented by Durham's Perdita Felicien, World Champion, Olympian and Sports Broadcaster
  • Sport Tourism Best Practices session presented by Cheryl Finn, Director of Sport Tourism for Tourism London and Chair of the Canadian Sport Tourism Alliance (CSTA) and Blair McIntosh, Vice President, Sport at Special Olympics Canada

  • Becoming a Winning Sport Event Host Community interactive panel discussion featuring guests from National and Provincial Sport Organizations

Tickets are $20 and include a light breakfast, lunch and an optional venue tour.

Tribute Communities Centre (formerly known as the General Motors Centre) is one of Durham Region's premier sports and entertainment facilities.

Complimentary parking on Court St. (accessible from Bruce St., located behind the venue) will be available to the first 60 guests to arrive. Accessible parking is available on Red Tilson alongside Rink 2.

Enter the venue at Gate 1 and follow the signs to the West Plaza on the second level.
