Instructor: Tamara Litke, Sustainability and Community Programs

Description: Volunteer Orientations are held seasonally and offer a survey of the ways you can become involved at the Garden. We will do a walking tour covering most of the key areas of the UBC Botanical Garden. We will provide an overview of the ways in which volunteers can become involved at all levels of experience and interest:

  • Tourism Challenge Gatehouse Ambassadors

  • Special Events assistants

  • Garden Guides

  • Summer staff positions

We are a Master Gardener Community Project with our School Tours if you are interested in becoming a Garden Guide. We have Gatehouse Admissions desk positions, special event support and our renowned Friends of the Garden Program. Come with your questions and camera - the Garden is beautiful place to get involved!

Notes: Dress for the weather, including wind and have appropriate footwear for all terrains.
