Description
SPRING IS COMING, AND SO ARE THE TURTLES!
With seven of the eight species of Ontario turtles now listed as species at risk, we have to act now to prevent turtles from disappearing. Join us for an exclusive evening and learn how YOU can help protect Ontario’s turtles.
On April 9th, join the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre at the ROM for your chance to meet and mingle with our world class turtle veterinarian and biologists. Hear firsthand accounts of our turtle conservation efforts throughout Ontario while enjoying delicious food and drinks. Don’t miss the opportunity to bid on our exciting and exceptional auction items.
Our special guest speaker for the evening is esteemed conservationist, author, and self-professed turtle lover, Monte Hummel, O.C. Monte has worked in conservation for over 45 years and is the co-founder of Pollution Probe, and President Emeritus of WWF-Canada.
ROM's Ontario Road Ecology Group will also be sharing an educational display all about turtles, including a 100 million year old turtle fossil!
All proceeds from the event go directly to support the hospital and ongoing conservation activities of the Kawartha Turtle Trauma Centre. We hope you can join us!
Spots are limited so get your tickets today!
