About this event
Join the Friends of Humber Bay Park and Toronto and Region Conservation Authority for a morning of planting native shrubs.
The event is FREE, however, registration is required. When registering, please use a valid email address so that we can keep you up to date on the event.
Please remember to:
Wear
- Sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots with good traction.
- Long pants and long-sleeved shirts to protect your skin from scratches and insect bites.
- Layers of clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.
- A hat or cap to protect your head and face from the sun
Bring
- reusable water bottle to stay hydrated.
- Sunscreen and bug spray
The safety of our participants and staff remains our top priority.
During a time when there is inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 where people are present, the event will follow current public health advice and provincial guidelines at the time the event takes place.
This means that things may look a little different — but you’ll still enjoy the great outdoor experience at our events.
If you have work gloves at home, please bring them with you. If you don’t, we will have sanitized equipment available for participants.
Physical distancing of at least 2 m (6ft) and face masks/coverings are encouraged for everyone attending.
PLEASE NOTE: Prior to attending the event, every person are encouraged to complete the Ontario Ministry of Health self-assessment for COVID-19. If you do not pass the assessment, or feel unwell prior to attending the event, we ask that you do not attend.
Cancellation Policy
All scheduled events will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme and/or unsafe weather conditions, TRCA staff will email you by 8:00 am the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
