Event description

We’ll miss you!

What a difference a week makes……………… COVID-19 is taking hold and, in line with the advice of the Public Health Agency of Canada, we have decided to move the date for Camp forward a year to April 18-20, 2021. We would like to thank you for your ongoing support for this event and for your understanding.

As you might imagine we did not take this decision lightly but we recognize that your health, your families' health, and the health of our communities are more important than any single event.

We welcome you to look online at our previous years' line-ups and presentations at this link - https://buildingknowledge.ca/resources/spring-camp/

We’d also like to thank our speakers, our support team (Rachel and Melissa) and most importantly you, our participants. Take care and look after yourself. See you in a year. Keep safe, keep healthy.

Cheers, Andy, Gord and Tex

"Very nice venue with excellent staff and service. Good mixture of topics delivered by knowledgeable and engaging people. Well organized and on schedule. Great opportunity to meet/speak informally with a variety of people in the industry " (attendee, 2019)

Spring Training Camp 2020

Buckle up campers! This year’s 2020 Building Science Spring Camp will be like attending a 2 day TED talk on the most relevant building science challenges and opportunities facing our industry. Connect with the builders and industry champions who are making the change and sharing their lessons learned.

"All topics were highly relevant, and the experts presenting were a pleasure to listen to. Great discussions throughout." (attendee 2019)

Who's Invited

Senior design, construction and R&D staff of leading homebuilders, renovators and condominium developers.

Utility representatives who have been actively promoting energy management programs to the Canadian industry.

Energy consultants that influence the adoption of technology by their clients.

Leading manufacturers who have supported energy efficiency, including those that are actively engaged in Net Zero energy projects.

If you know someone who should be attending and isn't, let us know and we’ll be happy to extend an invitation.

"I like that every year the presentations/seminars are different. I really enjoy meeting and speaking to industry leaders about how they are building and pushing the envelope in new construction." (attendee 2019)

The Hosts

Gord Cooke, Andy Oding and Tex McLeod have combined their talents to create Spring Training Camp with you in mind. This way, they get to bask in the glory when everything goes well, and spread the pain when it doesn’t. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
