María Avila
Singer
María Avila has established herself as an independent dancer, singer, choreographer, and teacher. Recent achievements include being awarded a mentorship to study with Myriam Allard in Montreal, receiving professional development grants to study in Spain, as well as performing in the 2016 Coetaní Experimental Flamenco Festival in Athens, Greece. In Vancouver, María has trained with Al Mozaico Flamenco Dance Academy, Karen Flamenco, and completed Centro Flamenco's professional two-year dance program. María launched María Avila Flamenco dance school in 2015 and regularly performs with Calle Verde, Raices y Alas and La Triana.

Bahram Aghakhan
Guitarist (Videos)
Bahram Aghakhan is a professional flamenco guitarist and composer who began learning guitar nearly 30 years ago. Since 1994 he has performed in many classical and flamenco concerts including Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquín Rodrigo & the Double Concierto by Astor Piazzolla. He has released 3 albums: The Song of Matadors recorded with flamenco musician Kaveh Nasehi, Persianas and La Cometa Del Oriente Mediano. In Canada, Bahram has performed at many festivals and events such as Flamenco Festival of Montreal 2014, Tirgan Festival 2015-17 and began collaborating closely with the largest flamenco dance academies: in Montreal with La Puerta Negra (Rae Bowhay) and Studio Pleamar (Myriam Allard), as well as performing with Maestra Lina Moros and in Toronto with Esmeralda Enrique Spanish Dance Academy and María Serrano flamenco dance academy.
He is also a professional guitar instructor with more than 20 years of experience. He worked for more than 2 years as a guitar teacher with SARV MUSIC ACADEMY from 2015 to 2017 and has years of experience in online teaching via Skype to all levels.
