SSHRC faculty, post-doctoral fellows and research facilitators are invited to an information session about Mitacs programming and funding opportunities for:
- Faculty interested in research collaborations with private sector partners including not-for-profit organizations
- Graduate student and post-doctoral fellow research support, funding and internships
In 2013 SSHRC and Mitacs announced a joint initiative to create stronger connections between Canadian companies and social sciences and humanities faculty, post-doctoral fellows and graduate students. In May 2016, Mitacs announced its 1,000th social sciences and humanities internship.
Partnering with Mitacs, social science and humanities researchers graduate students and post-doctoral fellows can collaborate with a range of partner organizations, including not-for profit and profit organizations, and augment SSHRC research funding through Mitacs Accelerate and Elevate programs.
