JUNO-winning Duo Concertante has been touring internationally for over 20 years, playing in halls such as the Wigmore Hall (UK), Carnegie Hall (NY), The National Arts Centre, The Forbidden City Hall in Beijing, and countless others. They have 12 award-winning CD’s, with their 2020 Schubert CD being named one of the Top 20 Classical CD’s in Canada by CBC Music.

Audiences describe “beautiful, moving, exciting and spectacular” music, “absolutely exquisitely performed.” In addition to works by Schubert, Beethoven, and Dallapiccola, this program features a work by acclaimed composer and Oakville resident Ian Cusson, co-Artistic Director of the Opera in the 21st Century program at the Banff Centre for Arts & Creativity.

“Cause Célèbre: A World Transformed” with Marcel d’Entremont - tenor, Andrea Ludwig - mezzo-soprano and Dakota Scott-Digout - piano.

Marcel d’Entremont, tenor – named one of CBC’s “Top 30 Under 30” classical musicians in 2020-- has won numerous awards and toured internationally performing solo recitals, as well as some of the major roles in operas produced by Opera McGill, Opera Nova Scotia, Opéra de Rouen (France), and with the boundary-breaking Against the Grain Theatre. With longtime collaborator Dakota Scott-Digout and mezzo-soprano Andrea Ludwig they’ll perform a fascinating program including works by Ralph Vaughan Williams, Amy Beach, Benjamin Britten, Samuel Barber, and Sarah MacLachlan.

“Portraits of the Americas” with The Zodiac Trio: Kliment Krylovskiy - clarinet, Vanessa Mollard - violin and Riko Higuma - piano.

France’s The Zodiac Trio – clarinet, violin & piano – is a multinational ensemble based in France & New York City, who bring finesse, humour and uncommon energy to programs of reimagined classics and stunning new works. The group has been praised for their “impeccable technique” (Fanfare Magazine), "remarkable musicality of rare intensity" (La Tribune, France), “seemingly effortless ease” (San Angelo Standard Times), “truly exceptional and sublime talent” (Nice-Matin, France); and declared by the French newspaper La Marseillaise as “one the best chamber ensembles of its generation...”

“Tasty Tunes” with Quartetto Gelato: Colin Maier - oboe, musical saw and vocals; Tino Popovic - violin, vocals; Kirk Starkey - cello; Matti Pulkki - accordion.

The renowned and incomparable Quartetto Gelato is back with a concert of works from their latest CD, “Tasty Tunes”, deemed “unique, exciting and wholly entertaining!” They entertain and thrill, playing everything from Mozart to John Denver, then Cab Calloway to Astor Piazzolla, and then throw in a traditional Serbian drinking song without missing a beat. They will make you smile!
