St. Kateri Tekakwitha: Building Bridges to Reconciliation
A GREAT EXPERIENCE AWAITS! ALL ARE WELCOME...
5.00 pm Eucharistic Celebration (Native Peoples' Mass) presided by Fr. Daryold Corbiere-Winkler, CSB, an Ojibway Basilian Priest.
6.00 pm Keynote Address on The Relevance of St. Kateri Tekakwitha in Healing and Fostering Relationships with Indigenous Peoples and the Earth by Tom Dearhouse.
7.15 pm Festive Indigenous Dinner by Aboriginal Flair Catering
The cost of the Dinner Ticket is $20 which will be collected upon entrance to avoid unneccesary additional fees.

TOM DEARHOUSE'S BIO:
Tom was born in the USA, Detroit, Michigan to First Nation parents, Mohawk father, and Ojibway mother. He left the city for the reservation life at the age of 21.This was in 1984. Presently, he is a traditional support counselor with Kahnawake Shakotiia’takehnhas Community Services for 18 years. Part of his responsibilities is working with former residential school students and their families and the intergenerational effects and impacts felt today. His gift is to share his knowledge, spread the message of healing and reconciliation and in general share what it’s like to be a First Nations individual in today’s world. Tom attends Mass at St. Francis Xavier Mission in Kahnawake which is also the home of St. Kateri’s shrine. He is part of the Mohawk choir that sing hymns in Mohawk every Sunday and at funerals. He is also a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Circle.
