Event description

Description

Come walk the labyrinth to the soothing, gentle melodies of jazz clarinet musician James Danderfer. Be transported, moved and inspired by Danderfer’s warm, rich sound, lyrical improvising and soulful expression.

The Labyrinth at St. Paul’s is a walking meditation space. On the last Friday of the month, it hosts some of the best contemplative musicians in Vancouver, drawing from many spiritual and musical traditions.

LEO award-winning composer/performer James Danderfer has been twice nominated "best jazz clarinetist" in the National Jazz Awards. He has performed and recorded with some of the finest jazz musicians in North America. He continues to impress audiences around the world, performing early blues and jazz melodies and original compositions.

As the seasons change and fall approaches, the cooler, darker evenings invite reflection. Please join us between 7pm and 9pm on Friday, September 29th. Come walk in contemplation or just sit and enjoy a musical evening of wistful clarity and subtle beauty.

Everyone welcome. Free admission. Wheelchair accessible.
