Description
Emma Donoghue appears to discuss her new novel, Akin, a contemporary look at love, loss and family, set on the French Riviera.
Akin begins when Noah, a retired New York professor, receives a call from a social worker looking for a temporary home for Michael, his eleven-year-old great-nephew. Though they have never met, the two set off on a trip to France. What unfolds is a warm, heart-wrenching tale of an old man and a boy who unpick their painful story and start to write a new one together.
Hear Emma Donoghue discuss Akin with Toronto Star Books Editor, Deborah Dundas.
