Starry Night at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum

One of the Region's most sought after holiday events, the FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museum's annual Christmas extravaganza Starry Night at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum is back!

Enjoy the sights of a Christmas past as you wander through the village in its finest lantern-lit beauty. Stroll down the paths and wander through the decorated shops and homes to experience the unique ambiance of a 1914 celebration. Enjoy many sweet treats as you sip hot apple cider while under the twinkling stars. the evenings music, food, and good cheer will surely get you and your family in the holiday spirit. Don't forget your camera, as we will have a special guest visiting for a great holiday selfie.

Ticket holders will also receive an exclusive behind-the-scenes virtual tour showcasing the historic buildings in the village, and the traditions and stories inside.

In addition, a Family Gift Basket will be given away each evening to a lucky winner to take home. Each ticket holder's name will be placed in a draw to win this basket.

This fundraising event is presented by the FRIENDS of Waterloo Region Museum. All proceeds will support the FRIENDS to enhance the programming and activities that bring history to life at Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum.

Much of this event will take place outdoors so seasonal/outdoor clothing is recommended.

Advanced ticket purchase required, tickets will not be available at the door.

Admission

Adult- $25.00 plus HST

Children (12 and under)- $12.00 plus HST (2 and under- free)

Tickets non-refundable.

Please note that because this is a fundraising event, there is no member discount.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking at the Waterloo Region Museum is complimentary.  We encourage you to consider carpooling, especially during such a busy event, to help with parking capacity and the environment.

To get to us by bus:  From Fairview Park Mall, take the #10 Conestoga College bus, to the corner of Homer Watson Boulevard and Manitou Drive. The museum is a short walk south along Homer Watson Boulevard. IMPORTANT: As you get off the bus, walk toward the traffic lights and cross Homer Watson Boulevard before you turn right (south) toward the museum.

What can I bring into the event?

Guests are welcome to bring flashlights or battery-operated lanterns.  Flame-lit lanterns are not permitted.

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Tickets must be presented at the event.  They can be printed or shown on a handheld device.
