About this Event
Child and Youth Care with Addiction Support workers provide assistance and counselling to children, adolescents, and their families with concerns regarding developmental, social, emotional, behavioural, and mental health issues.
This specialized role requires high levels of empathy and professionalism as you work with other industry professionals to strategize and determine the best course of intervention, advocacy, and support for the well-being of children.
Join us for a special information session and learn more about the program, including:
• 6-week field placement
• 84-hour community practicum
• Community Agency networking opportunities
• Typical guest presenters and speakers
• Certifications earned during the program (First Aid, Suicide Assist, Non Violent Crisis Intervention)
