Toronto’s long-running cult gay country and western party comes above ground to the Gladstone Hotel for a Pride-sized edition of Steers & Queers. This deep country, high camp extravaganza will take the Gladstone Ballroom back to its roots as a rowdy country bar. For one night only there will be drag, burlesque, live music, good drinks and dancing, all paying tribute to country’s greatest drag queen, Dolly Parton. Put on your best falsies, most convincing Burt Reynolds moustache and your coat of many colours. Dress code: Dolly drag, country and western realness. Built in 1889, the Gladstone Hotel is Toronto’s oldest continually operating hotel and has been evolving as a local cultural hub since 2003 with a vision to revolutionize a hospitality model that operates at the intersection of arts, sustainability and social change.
