Become a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Champion with UOIT technology workshops!

Who knew you could make a piano with bananas? Makey Makey works by opening and closing circuits, just like any other switch. But instead of the switch being on your computer, or your wall, the circuit is closed through the objects you connect with alligator clips, like some tinfoil, or your hand... or your lunch. See what you can do with this cool technology!

Other programs in the STEM Champion series are:

  • Coding with Ozobots (Saturday, September 23)
  • Build and Program your Own Crystal Ball (Saturday, November 4)

Presented in partnership with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.

No charge. Advanced registration is required; space is limited Register online, in person, or by phone.
