Description

[Ages 5 to 10]

Courtice Branch, The Great Room
Saturday, January 20

10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Advanced registration required; space is limited. Register online, in person, or by phone. No charge.

Become a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Champion with UOIT technology workshops!

Consider yourself a gamer? Take your skills to the next level! Enhance your online gaming experience with a custom controller using Makey Makey.

The technology acts like switches, but opening and closing circuits with Makey Makey doesn’t just use anything – it uses everything! With the help of alligator clips, anything can be part of your circuits – bananas, tin foil... Even yourself!

Please note: program participants will not be able to keep the equipment.

Presented in partnership with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.

Other programs in the STEM Champion series are:

  • Crazy Circuits with LittleBits, ages 7-18 (Saturday, February 17)
  • Stop and Go with Arduino, ages 10-18 (Saturday, March 24)

Presented in partnership with the University of Ontario Institute of Technology Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science.
