Trauma Informed Strategies for Churches and Ministries

About this event

Are you looking to restart your church and ministry programming this fall after a long season of covid limitations and aren’t sure how best to proceed? You are not alone.

With a heart to inspire and empower the body of Christ for ministry, Missionfest Manitoba presents an interactive webinar with Ruby and Lynn Johnston, leading Christian experts in trauma informed care.

This two hour zoom webinar will use the lens of trauma informed care to cover topics such as:

  • How does trauma impact the brain?
  • How does this impact the kind of support families need?
  • How do we re-create safe spaces for families?
  • What strategies can we use to help adults in our ministries keep healthy spiritually and emotionally?

Though applicable to all forms of ministry, this seminar will be of particular interest to churches and ministries who work with children and youth.

About Missionfest Manitoba:

Missionfest Manitoba is an incorporated, not-for-profit charitable organization founded in 1989. The original mandate was to facilitate a three-day gathering of churches, educators, mission organizations, and individuals from the Manitoba community that would inform, inspire, and encourage the participants to become increasingly involved in fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission.

Beginning in 2021 , Missionfest Manitoba will move beyond a singular event in February to pursue new initiatives and facilitate curated conversations, so as to motivate a broader collection of people to engage with our Lord’s heart for the world.
