Description

Canadian guitarist Steve Cowan has performed and taught extensively throughout Canada, the United States, and Europe. His critically-acclaimed debut album, Pour guitare, features exclusively Canadian music and has helped to establish him as “one of Canada’s top contemporary classical guitarists” (Classical Guitar Magazine). He has commissioned several new works for guitar and given world premieres in major cities such as Paris, Toronto, and New York. Steve is originally from St. John’s, Newfoundland, and is currently pursuing Doctoral studies at McGill University in Montréal.

Jesus Serrano Huitron was born in Mexico City, and studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Mexico City under the guidance of Selvio Carrizosa and Jaime Soria, concluding his degree with honors in 2017. He has performed masterclasses with David Russell, Marcin Dylla, Marco Tamayo, Pepe Romero, Ricardo Gallén, Zoran Dukic, and Xuefei Yang, among others. Among many competition wins, in 2017 Jesus was awarded 1st Prize at the Montreal International Guitar Competition. He has performed throughout Mexico, Canada and the United States.
