About this event
Kerrin Jackson (She/Hers) has called Grande Prairie her home for a little over a decade. She is a registered social worker who now primarily practices in macro-level work. Kerrin is happy to be able to echo that practice into her role as Director of Education and Engagement at Odyssey House. She believes that an integral primary prevention strategy to domestic violence is being able to engage the community in education that targets underlying attitudes supporting the perpetration of violence.
Domestic Violence - It's Your Business
Most people spend majority of their time at work, so it makes sense that if staff are experiencing violence at home, it will follow them to work. This program provides information on how to help, proactive measures, and strategies for management to recognize and respond to signs of domestic violence. This course takes approximately 1 hour.
