Still Moon Arts Society will once again be providing two stilt walking workshop series at the CNH Annex, taught by local dance artist and stilt walker extraordinaire, Isabelle Kirouac Arevalo. If you are a youth aged 13-24 who is interested in learning a new performance skill, or improving your stilt walking, this is the workshop for you!
The workshops are provided free of charge, but spots for participants are limited. Register soon to guarantee your spot!
Beginner Series:
March 2, 7:30-8:45pm (6 spots)
March 9, 7:30-8:45pm (6 spots)
The Beginner two class series are for those with little or no stilt walking experience.
Intermediate Series:
March 30, 7:30-8:45pm (12 spots)
April 6, 7:30-8:45pm (12 spots)
The Intermediate two class series are open to anyone who is able to walk on stilts without assistance (participants from the beginner sessions are welcome to join if they feel confident).
Additional Information:
Stilts will be provided for participants. Folks are welcome to bring their own stilts if they own them. Please come prepared by wearing clothing that is easy to move in. Avoid shorts and open toed footwear.
