Join our Indigenous Neighbours team for a time of storytelling and stitching as Niska artisan Debbie Proulx-Buffalo teaches us how to bead an Every Child Matters pin. We are excited to invite you to gather with us online as we learn and listen.
Here’s a short welcome from Debbie.
“Wachay I’m Debbie Proulx-Buffalo a proud Indigenous woman and member of Waskaganish First Nation. I love beading and creating meaningful pieces of jewelry. Beading has helped me to heal and learn about my Culture.”

Niska Artisans took flight in 2007 and supports Indigenous artisans in First Nations and communities stretching across northeastern Ontario. This fair trade program seeks to both educate patrons about the unique cultures in Ontario’s far north and works to preserve a way of life that is being lost.
