In September 2020, TBRHSC, Trauma Program, Regional Injury Prevention will be adding a new injury prevention initiative to its program roster. In this letter you will find all necessary information about the American College of Surgeons training course, Stop the Bleed. We invite you to take part and get certified in bleeding control. Become empowered to take action, in emergency situation, and possibly save a life! This course will be led by real health care professional, certified in Stop the Bleed training with real life experience in applying these principles.
Who should take this course?
Public service workers, Emergency service workers, companies, corporate worksites, teachers, parents, construction workers, Conservation officers, health professionals, Camp Counselors, remote fly in resort workers, Forest fire fighters, and public citizens.
Why Learn?
Bleeding emergencies can happen anywhere, and by many means. Instead of being a witness and unable to react, become a responder and be empowered cause you know how to stop the bleed! Be the life or death difference!
Program Objectives:
Empower citizens and public workers to first respond at the scene of a wounding to recognize and react to stop life threatening bleeding before professional help can arrive.
Train citizenry to quickly & effectively identify and react to severe bleeding.

2) Packing
3) Tourniquets
COVID-19 Guidelines will be in place, and masks (are NOT provided on site), and online screening, or manually filling out a screening form, are mandatory prior to participating in the Stop the Bleed Course.
