Stop the Bleed is an American College of Surgeons initiative to train bystanders on the basics of controlling life-threatening bleeding.
About this event
- Public, free, 1 hour training session that will provide knowledge and experience in two critical modalities: (1) tourniquet application and the use of (2) pressure to stop bleeding.
- The course will run on the 3rd Tuesday of every month (contingent on sign-up numbers)
- Limited class size to 20 participants per course.
- All participants must be double (or triple) vaccinated to enter the hospital, and a mask must be worn.
- Physical distancing protocols will be in place throughout the course.
- All participants will be screened upon entrance to the hospital.
- Start time is 6:00pm to 7:00pm (doors will open at 5:45pm).
- Course location is at Victoria Hospital (800 Commissioners Rd E., London ON) in room B2-119 (Sumner Auditorium).
- Paid parking is available onsite.
