Course description:
The American College of Surgeons Stop the Bleed program has prepared nearly 4 million people worldwide on how to stop bleeding in a severely injured person.
With 3 quick actions, you can be trained to save a life. The number one cause of preventable death after injury is bleeding. That's why we want to train you how to "stop the bleed". The course is taught by staff from the St. Michael's Hospital Trauma and Emergency Medicine Programs.
This course is for anyone who is interested in learning lifesaving skills for bleeding control in an emergency or first aid setting. No medical or other training is required to take the course. There is no minimum age requirement for the course, although we recommend a parent/guardian to be aware that there are graphic images and content covered in the course.

Accessibility:
Wheelchair accessible main entrance, with both elevator and stair access to classroom location. Wheelchair accessible washrooms on site.
