The presentation will cover the impact of designing with new regulations regarding stormwater infiltration, pre & post development, controlled discharge, passive irrigation and the re-use of stormwater as a resource with the ultimate goal of reducing the amount of stormwater discharging into existing infrastructure. Additional points of the presentation will touch upon Green / Blue Roof design and benefits. Variable methodology to keep stormwater shallow to provide the greatest benefits to society and modelling of Design for Best Management of Stormwater

Presenter: Neil Courneya

Neil Courneya has been involved with Advanced Building Technologies Inc since 1987 with a focus on Stormwater Management through continuous inlet systems. He has presented for ASHREA, ASPE, CSCE, ASCE chapters across North America for the past 20 years, covering hydraulic and hydrological applications. Neil’s major focus is now on complete Stormwater Management Systems for both surface and subsurface applications emphasizing Low Impact Development, Sustainable Infrastructure and the Re-use of Stormwater as valuable resource.
