Event description

Description

This day-long workshop will demonstrate the use of the shoe as a metaphor for journeys of newcomers to Canada based on the example of The Shoe Project. Examining how storytelling can be used to improve women's written and spoken English, participants will take away ideas for their own story circles and hear examples of stories told by alumni from The Shoe Project.

For storytellers and those working in classroom, settlement and community settings with youth, adults or seniors. Bring a 'shoe with a story' to the workshop! This workshop ticket includes lunch and refreshments.
