Event Details

There is so much time, energy and resources that go into a successful strategic plan.   Richard Summers breaks down the entire process so that you know what to expect from start to finish.  If you are a Board Member and/or an Executive Director of a small to medium-sized Not For Profit, and the topic of strategic planning keeps popping up at board meetings, this  workshop is for you. Strategic planning is presented in steps from making the decision to plan to implementing the chosen strategy. This course will be useful whether the organization chooses to plan in-house or employ professional services. Key learning objectives:

  • Recognizing when it is time to create a strategic plan
  • The strategic planning process
  • Executing the strategic plan
  • Reviewing and adjusting the plan

About the facilitator:

Richard Summers has been creating, managing and executing strategy in government, industry and not for profits for more than two decades. As a volunteer he has chaired a library board, served at the local, provincial and national levels supporting youth organizations, and currently is director of a scholarship foundation.
