Description

The Strong Voices Together Conference will bring men and boys into the conversation and services around the prevention of violence and bullying. Come and be inspired by our internationally renowned speakers! Service providers will receive fresh ideas on how to transform the culture of service delivery.

Participants will gain new tools and strategies in the areas of violence, and bullying prevention and services. Attendees will experience the power of using humour to build resiliency and increase coping skills in their workplaces.

International and local speakers will share the results of new research, best practices from the field, and introduce tactics on engaging men and boys in the delivery of support and services. A local police officer will share his personal story on bullying and how he leverages his powerful journey to give voice to the prevention of bullying and violence.

This conference will feature the following line-up of International speakers:

Tuval Dinner Nafshi - Alberta Council of Women's Shelters and Anthony Parker, CFL Alumni will share bullying and violence prevention tactics and how to engage men and boys in service delivery.

Karen Vadino - MSW and motivational speaker, is a humourist who will demonstrate how humour can be used to build resiliency

Tad Milmine - Calgary police officer and Founder of Bullying Ends Here

Patricia Jones - CEO Catholic Family Services, shares current research and her experience with shifting culture in the work place.

8:00 am - 8:30 am Regsitration and Continental Breakfast
8:30 am - 4:30 pm Guest Speakers and Main Program (lunch included at Noon - 1:00 pm)
