Event Details

In an ecosystem characterized by besieged donors, overtaxed corporations and belt-tightening governments, shared services can help organizations make more efficient use of limited resources and get back to focusing on their core mandates.

This interactive workshop will present and discuss case studies of real world shared services initiatives. The session will discuss the advantages and benefits as well as the challenges and limitations of sharing services. We will explore best practices (and lessons learned!) for creating a shared service initiative.

  • The different types of services that are best suited to a shared services model
  • The different types of shared services models
  • The advantages and challenges of sharing services

  • Mark Jamison, CEO, Magazines Canada
  • Diane Davy, Executive Director, WorkInCulture (Co-developers of SpaceFinder Toronto)
