In the "Student Success Workshop: Scholarships, LinkedIn Training & Attracting Opportunity" participants will learn about how to make themselves a magnet for opportunity, with a special focus on scholarships, awards, and bursaries, as well as job and volunteer opportunities.

The workshop facilitator, Katie Zeppieri, has been an active leader in her community from a young age and ended up graduating high school with over $90,000 worth of scholarships to go towards her post-secondary education. In her work today as an entrepreneur, speaker, author, and media personality, Katie has built a brand that connects to people, and continues to receive partnership opportunities aligned with her message.

The goal of this workshop is to inspire participants to seek out opportunities to match their own expertise and skill-set. Katie will deliver an inspiring pep talk on how to make yourself a magnet for opportunity and will then walk participants through her process of applying for scholarships/jobs/opportunities and offer key tips and tangible takeaways on how to make your application stand out. Katie will also lead a LinkedIn training and provide participants with tips to enhance their profile.

This workshop is ideal for high school students looking to get perspective before applying to post-secondary. It is also a great fit for college/university students or new graduates and entrepreneurs looking for ways to make themselves marketable.
