Description

Designed for those students from a non-law background or just graduated from high school that are considering a career in law. Study Law in the UK, explores what it is like to study law in London with BPP University, apply for the Canadian Bar and practice law in the UK or Canada.

In this session you will:

· Understand how to qualify and practice as a lawyer in Canada with a UK law degree, saving valuable time and tuition fees.

· Explore some of the academic options that you will study at BPP University Law School

· Distinguish the difference between Barristers and Solicitors both in Canada and in the UK

· Get insight into the National Committee of Accreditation (NCA) for your foreign law degree accreditation

· Identify the similarities of LLB + LLM (legal specialist pathway) in the UK and JD in Canada

· Receive tips on how to enhance your employability and secure a training contract or pupillage (articling) at home or abroad

Session will be held at Simon Fraser University, Harbour Centre located on 515 West Hastings, room 1500
