Event description

Description

Pain affects over 40% of Canadians over the age of 45 and up to 80% of seniors. It is a larger medical sector than Cancer, AIDS, and Heart & Stroke combined, and yet health care professionals don’t always have the understanding and tools to help their patients manage it effectively. What should health care providers know about evidence-based pain management and its practice? What’s considered best practice? How can understanding pain help treatment providers and those advocating for your patient?

Join us for a half-day workshop that addresses the common challenges in treating and advocating for pain patients, including current and new treatment techniques.

Hear from the experts in the field of pain management on what is available today, what may be coming tomorrow.
