SUEZ Water & Technologies Solutions is pleased to invite you to attend our Technical Seminar and Workshop. This seminar will focus on topics tailored for gas plant operators, managers and engineers. The content is designed to be applicable to daily operations, and solutions for evolving challenges. The one-day session will be held at Holiday Inn & Suites, Grande Prairie AB and will include a mixture of presentations and one on one discussions.






Registration


This seminar is $100 per attendee, which includes classroom materials, breakfast, lunch and refreshments as well as an optional dinner and social to be held after the seminar (location to be confirmed).

Speaker Bios


Jeffrey Zurlo - Jeff has 29 years’ experience in process engineering, refinery treatment sales and services, hydrocarbon product applications and technical support. Jeff currently provides global marketing and technical support to the refining and gas processing industries, with a principal focus on best practices, knowledge management, web-enabled analytics, technology development, and Integrated Solutions for Refining marketing & commercialization. Over the past 10 years, Jeffrey has been granted 1 US patent, published 8 articles in industry journals, and presented 6 technical papers at refinery conferences. He is active in the American Fuels and Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) industry association as company representative on both the Screening and Steering committees since 2008. Prior to joining SUEZ Water Technologies & Solutions in 1997, Jeff held various process engineering positions at Sunoco Inc, Koch Refining, and Hercules Incorporated. He holds a BE (ChE) degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.


Willard Harvey - Willard has 32 yrs of experience (29 yrs with SUEZ) in Hydrocarbon Process Industry with focus on Product Development and Application for Amine Units, H2S Scavengers and Refinery Process. Willard has been heavily involved in implementation of CO2 corrosion inhibitor treatment technology at several Northern Alberta gas plants. Willard holds Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University. He is currently based out of Tomball, TX and working as Lead Product Specialist supporting Hydrocarbon Process Industry – Gas Plants and Refineries in North America.


Daniel Johnstone - Following graduation from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Daniel spent the first two years at Process Group in Melbourne as a project engineer and has recently rejoined the company to lead our expansion as SUEZ – Oil and Gas Systems into the United States. Daniel brings 20 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry with a primary focus on the EPC Management of large Modules for the Offshore FPSO and Onshore Gas Refinery markets. Daniel has been involved in major oil and gas projects for the Asian, Americas, African and Middle East regions having dealt with many of the major Oil and Gas Companies globally. Initial role for SUEZ – Oil and Gas Systems is focused on Business Development for the Global Upstream Oil and Gas Market and establishing and setting up a USA office.


Ron Porter - B A Sc. Chemical Engineering, P. Eng is a Technical Specialist for SUEZ, Water Technologies and Solutions. This arm of SUEZ chemical and equipment solutions to petroleum, chemical, pulp and paper, mining, commercial and institutional customers. Ron has developed and presented several presentations on various topics involved with water treatment over the years. Ron has over 28 years of professional experience in water related topics in petroleum, chemical, refining, SAGD, Fertilizer, Metal Processing and related industries in Canada. He has held several technical and managerial positions with SUEZ. His current responsibilities include, designing treatment programs, evaluating and optimizing existing treatment programs from a chemistry and an equipment stand point. Ron Porter obtained his B A. Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1990 from the University of Ottawa and is member of APEGA and NACE. He currently resides in Edmonton, Alberta.
