Outdoor, in-person, summer camp filled with art projects and activities for children ages 6-12. Toronto, ON

About this event

Each morning from Monday to Friday, campers will be guided through art projects and activities, in-person, prepared by our team of emerging artists. We invite registration on a pay-what-you-can basis.

- Welcoming campers ages 6-12

- Outdoor, in-person instruction from 9am to 12pm

- Painting, drawing, sculpting and crafting projects

- Creative and supportive environment

- Self-directed afternoon activities

- All supplies included

- Operational practices based on the Ontario Ministry of Health guidelines - subject to change

Daily Schedule:

9:00am - 9:30am: Group activity

9:30am - 10:15am: Art Project (Part 1)

10:15am - 10:45am: Break

10:45am - 11:30am: Art Project (Part 2)

11:30am - 12:00pm: Individual activity

Drop-off and Pick-up: Campers must be dropped off and signed out each day by a parent/guardian or caregiver listed on their registration form. Photo ID must be shown each day at pick-up. Sign-in will begin outside at 8:45am to allow time for camper information and screening verification. Camp participants and staff must complete a daily health screening before arrival.

Safety:

- Only one camp cohort will be onsite

- Campers will wear a non-medical mask inside and outside with the exception of eating and drinking. Mask breaks will be scheduled outside, where possible.

- Staff will be required to complete a daily screening and will be wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as required

- Physical distancing of 2 metres will be encouraged

- Practice hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette

- Routine cleaning and disinfection

What to Wear and Bring:

- Clothing that is casual and comfortable

- Closed shoes (e.g. sneakers)

- Snack (REMINDER: NUT FREE)

- Reusable water bottle that is labelled (no glass)

- Hat (recommended)

- Apply sunscreen and bug repellant before camp arrival

- Leave personal items and toys at home (FCAG is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items)

Emergency or Illness: If you need to contact your child in an emergency, please call us at 416-740-6520. If your child becomes ill during camp, we will contact you right away using the emergency contact information you provided at time of registration. The camp participant will wait in an isolation area with an employee until picked-up. If your child is ill, please do not send them to camp

Allergies: Children with a potentially life threatening allergy must have an unexpired Epi-pen® that will be carried on them while at camp.

Special Support: If your child requires a support worker to participate in the camp, please contact the program supervisor by email at camp.fcag@gmail.com.

Code of Conduct: Camp participants and staff must comply with the FCAG Code of Conduct. Camp staff will discuss the rules and expectations with campers.

- Respect staff, other campers and supplies

- Complete daily screening

- Wear masks, as required

- Maintain physical distancing between other campers and staff

- Do not share food with other campers

- Tell staff if you feel unwell/sick

- Camp staff are certified in Emergency First Aid & CPR B, and trained in HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development.

Digital Youth Art Exhibit: We encourage campers to participate in our annual Youth Art Exhibit by sharing the artwork they created throughout summer months. This year, the exhibit will be held virtually (date TBD). Complete our Google Form to submit your artwork by August 22, 2021. Watch last year’s Digital Youth Exhibit video below.
