Description

Summer Bulbs: Exotic Flower, Foliage and Fragrance all summer long.

Speaker: Dugald Cameron

We all love the colour and smell that summer brings to our gardens. Join us to learn how to incorporate more colour into your gardens that lasts all summer long!

Dugald's gardening career began at an early age in his English Grandmother's garden where he'd occasionally help out with weeding & digging.

He says that he must have "caught the bug" then, because he has been interested in plants and gardens ever since. Dugald, his Father, and Lynn Pashleigh, started Gardenimport, a mail order nursery in 1983 because they couldn't find the quality or selection of plants they wanted for their gardens. The business was closed in December 2014 after 32 years of business.

Dugald was on the board of directors at The Toronto Botanical Garden from 1996 to 2009. He speaks on many subjects to many Horticultural Societies in Southern Ontario, occasionally sat in for Ed Lawrence on CBC’s Ontario Today, was the first president of the Greater Toronto Bulb Society and is a member of numerous horticultural societies (Toronto Botanical Garden, Ontario Rock Garden and Hardy Plant Society, International Clematis Society, International Bulb Society, Pacific Bulb Society).

His current gardening passions are tuberous Begonias & Clematis, Daffodils, Nerines and Tulips.
