Affiliate Assistant Professor, Computer Science and Software Engineering and Concordia Institute of Information Systems Engineering.

Regardless of how a cyber-interloper gets into your network, the next step taken by end users, business owners, and IT staff can determine the severity and consequences of the intrusion.
It is generally acknowledged that better security and training are needed since the number of cyber attackers continue to overtake cyber defenses.
This one-day bootcamp will give you a solid background in understanding common threats to the security of our software and platforms, how to mitigate those threats, and how to implement best practices.
Moreover, we’ll explore developing technologies, such as blockchain, and new trends in cybersecurity, such as cyber insurance.
The workshop is open to all, no particular background in computer or software engineering is assumed.
A joint networking reception with Engineering students will take place after the workshop concludes.
