About this event

Kurtis Eugene's brand new record, 'Sun Sheep' is an immersive experience that takes you deep into the process-driven soundscapes of this unique emerging Maritime musician, composer, producer and audio engineer. His work has been described as compelling, intimate, complex and genuinely unique.

This event presents the album alongside the accompanying film. It runs approx. 50 minutes with some extra time to mingle! Maybe even a Q&A.

This work is not available online and screenings are limited.

The album cover and title are created by local multidisciplinary artist Ruth Marsh.

'Sun Sheep' features session work from India Gailey (New Hermitage), Jacques Mindreau (Electro Jacques Therapy/Krasnogorsk), Rachel Bruch (Blue Lobelia), James Shaw (James Shaw Trio/ Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound), Joshua Van Tassel and of course Kurtis McAllister (Kurtis Eugene).

The accompanying film features work by incredible local filmmakers Daniel Dominic, Ariel Bates and Seán Galway.

The featured dancers are the visionary Lydia Zimmer, Siobhan Takala and Satiya Steinbach.

We acknowledge the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
