Event description
Sunday and Weekday Masses in person at Corpus Christi Parish in Toronto

About this Event

Updated April 9, 2021

Dear parishioners and friends,

we may have the celebration of Masses and other religious services with up to 15% of the capacity of the church in the gray zone, even during 'stay at home order'. The hall won't be available for the Masses during this time.

15% of our church capacity is 105 persons. This number however might not be possible at most of the Masses as we will have to ensure that physical distancing of seating will be maintained. The more realistic number that we will try would be about 45 social bubbles or individual spots (excluding the priests, lectors, and musicians), with up to 105 persons in the church (including everyone).

Dispensation from Sunday Masses remains in effect.

The elderly and those with compromised immunity or other health issues are asked to stay at home. If such a person comes, however, we will welcome them.

It is different if you believe that you have contracted Covid-19. In that case, we ask you to stay at your home and contact health authorities.

We will have to ensure that we have an optimal number of volunteers to help with ushering and cleaning after the Masses when necessary. Thank you for your generosity with your time and talent! We have begun our public Masses. Ushers who are assigned won't need to preregister but they will need to sign in.

You may also sign up here for the daily Masses (Tuesday to Friday at 9 am), which will continue to be live-streamed and saved on our YouTube channel (

Our Sunday Masses with people are on Saturday evenings at 5 pm, and Sunday mornings at 9 am and 11 am. Please note that after consultation with the Pastoral Council and the parishioners it has been decided that the 9:30 am Sunday Mass would be moved to 9 am. This will allow more time for cleaning and stressless participation at Mass, without worries about the parking lot, among others. The 11 am Mass will be the only Sunday Mass that will be both, live-streamed, and with people.

For the purpose of contact tracing, we ask you that you register via Eventbrite for one ticket only, either as one person if you will come alone, or one ticket for your family/social bubble of up to 6 persons if you will come with more people, for all the weekday and weekend Masses.

If you don’t know how to preregister via Eventbrite, call the office during the week so to register via phone. If you don’t register either via Eventbrite or phone, you may be allowed to enter after the Mass begins if there will be no more tickets available, but we will have to sign you in, and that might create a line up which we try to avoid. Accordingly, if you will not arrive on time, even if you have the ticket, you might lose your spot.

If you decide not to come, please cancel your ticket on time via the link in your registration email (or by phone during office hours if you preregister via phone). That might allow someone else to find a spot in the church. In this way, we will avoid having empty pews and no tickets available.

Please note that every reasonable precaution has been and will continue to be taken by the Archdiocese of Toronto to protect your health and safety. However, there can be no guarantees of complete protection as there will always be risks of contracting a viral infection through large gatherings.

Please do not enter the church if you have a temperature, feel ill, or have been in contact with a COVID-19 positive individual over the past two weeks.

Additional information:

• Masks or face coverings are needed.

• As you arrive at the church please avoid large groups as you wait in front of the main entrance to the church. Please don't enter the church before you are ushered in.

• Please look for signs marking the proper entrance door.

• Sanitize your hands upon entry and identify yourself with the volunteer or priest.

• Please maintain physical distancing at all times. Stay 2 meters (or 6 feet) away from others who are not in your 'social bubble'.

• At times we might feel attached to certain seats or spots in the pews. Out of charity, I ask you to allow yourself to be guided by the ushers so that we may sit as great a number of the parishioners as possible. For, the Christian greatness is in humility.

• Please don't leave the church until after the Mass ends, after the priest exits. The main exit will be via the northeast doors on Lockwood Road. Please don't return via the main entrance.

• Once you register, we may add your contact information to our mailing list.

Confession is important to help us to prepare to receive Holy Communion - the Eucharist. Catholics should not receive the Eucharist if we are aware of a grave sin without first confessing it through the priest to the Lord. We should confess only if we feel sorry and will try not to sin again.

Every Saturday we have our regular Confessions from 4:00 – 4:45 pm at the office. If you are unable to come on the specified dates please call the office to book a date or check the Archdiocesan website:

"How to go to Confession" guides, can be downloaded in seven other languages from this website:
