Event Information
About this Event
Description of Workshop
Join us at 130m above sea level! It's a walking tour around a circle in the sky. Bring your camera(s), phone(s) and covid bubble and prepare to capture the city from above. Learn how to do long exposures, composition, and the right settings to capture the mood of the scene. Tripods are recommended for the night workshop.
We are offering one daytime workshop, and one evening workshop so pick one, or come to both!
Please note this event will only run if Province-wide health and safety restrictions on social gatherings are lifted. We are committed to respecting the changing Provincial Guidelines. As such, this event is fully refundable, and final confirmation of the event proceeding will be announced January 8th, 2020.
* if we do not meet the minimum number of people to run the workshop, all tickets will be refunded fully!
About the Venue
Since 1977 Harbour Centre and the Vancouver Lookout has been a staple of Vancouver’s skyline. A 360º aerial view of Vancouver is reached by a 40-second glass elevator ride, whisking you 553 ft (168 m) skyward where you enjoy intimate views of Vancouver. From the urban to the natural, this is truly a unique spot to soak in views of Gastown, Coal Harbour, North Vancouver and the ever-changing skyline of downtown Vancouver.
Covid-19 Safety Precautions
The Vancouver Lookout has a separate air intake from the rest of the building, so you don't have to share your air!
Spaces will be carefully monitored to ensure efficient distance between people, or bubbles.
Masks will be worn at all times.
The space is sufficiently large to accommodate 50 people but we are being ultra cautious and limiting registration to 20.
Surfaces will be sanitized and hand sanitizer provided throughout the venue.
