Super Engineers Session 7
Mon, 27 March 2017, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM EDT
Are you an Engineer looking for a great way to engage with your community? Could you help spark a lifelong interest in engineering by supporting youth aged 5-18 in Ontario to bring their ideas to life in a short 90 minute workshop?
Now in it's third year, this special program will give thousands of Girl Guides and Scouts across the province an out-of-this world engineering experience!
This year's program theme is Super Engineers in which you will guide participants through a series of fun activities and challenges to understand the physics of making things move, working in a team and getting to the heart of what Engineers really do to change the world around us, while trying to escape from the Evil Genius' island fortress!
Training on delivery of the activities will be provided at various locations in the last week of February as well as online. A link to the separate sign up will be emailed to volunteers after sign up.
This registration is for the event listed above and will be working with the following age group(s):
Please make sure that you are able to 100% commit as these sessions will be confirmed based on your commitment! And of course feel free to sign up to help at other events happening around the province too!
If you are located in a different area and are interested in getting involved please let us know and we can let you know if there are any additional local sessions you can join!
Feel free to get in touch with us - email@example.com

No! So long as you are comfortable explaining what engineers and engineering technologists do and their role in shaping the world around us, you have something valuable to offer. Students, technicians, technologists, EIt's and professional engineers at any stage of their career are all welcome!
Can Male volunteers help with Girl Guides groups?
Of course! Experience and enthuasiam has no gender.
I haven't worked with kids before! what do I do?
Training will be provided on all of the workshop materials AS WELL AS the best practices and support for working with kids. You will also be supported by the regular unit leaders and are encourgaed to ask for their help in 'crowd control' for any alrger groups. We also aim to pair facilitators where possible so that you can work as a team and support each other.
