Event description

Description

The Univeristy of Guelph's Superintendent in Residence (SIR) is a unique event where an experienced industry professional is invited to spend a few days on campus with students and instructors from the Associate Diploma in Turfgrass Management (ADTM) and Turf Manager's Short Course (TMSC) programs. Students and faculty have the opportunity to spend time both in and out of the classroom with the Superintendent in Residence during their stay. Each year, the SIR is invited to give a public presentation which is followed by a social event. Presentation topics often include unique agronomic challenges, lessons in communication, using technology, staff management advice and/or personal messages to the turf community. SIR is truly a unique program that we are proud to host. We are grateful to the industry sponsors who continue to step forward in support each year.
