Event description
Self-care and wellness do not have to be a' hair-pullers' for kiddos with special needs! So come learn nurse Carol's tricks-of-the-trade!

About this Event

So often self-care for children with autism and other developmental disabilities can feel overwhelming and more times than not its an up-hill battle that requires A LOT of emotional and physical energy. At RealWorldABA, we get this...we've been there... and we've lived it. That's why this workshop will spend time covering: toileting (e.g., bowl care), medical supports (e.g., medications, visiting hospitals), and personal care (e.g., dressing, feeding, and clipping nails).

We are blessed to have a community health nurse, Carol Reimer, who has spent over 20 years working directly with individuals who have developmental disorders, come and talk to the Fredericton community about self-care for children with autism.

The workshop promotes questions and open-dialogue from parents so we can as a community discuss the challenges and explore the supports.

2.5% of all proceeds will be donated to a local non-profit!
