FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. Can I bring my children? Do I have to register them or buy tickets for them?
Children are welcome to come and are encouraged to collect pledges! Kids under 12 years old are free, but regular ticket prices apply to kids aged 12 and over.
2. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the walk?
The park has free parking. Unfortunately, it is not easily accessible by public transit, so we recommend you carpool with friends. Download driving directions.
3. What should I bring to the walk?
We have reserved a 75-seat sheltered picnic bench, but prepare for the weather - hat, sunscreen, water bottle, good walking shoes, and possibly (but hopefully not) rain gear.
4. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the walk?
No, we will have a list of people who registered online.
5. What time should I arrive to the walk?
Please arrive between 11 and 11:45 am, so we can register you and take your pledges. We will also take a group photo. The walk starts at 12 pm. There will be lunch after the walk.
6. How long will the walk take?
The walk is 5 km and will take an hour for the average person. The shorter walk is 2 km and will take 30 minutes.
7. Can I bring my dog/cat/friend?
Dogs are welcome on a leash, but it's best if cats stay at home. We encourage your friends to register for the walk.
