Survivors of Suicide Loss Day
Survivors of Suicide Loss Day is a one day event for individuals who have lost somone to suicide to come together and connect in a supportive environment. CMHA - Calgary Region works with a group of devoted volunteers to present a day of connection and support for people who have lost someone to suicide.
When: Saturday, November 5, 2016
Where: Calgary Zoo Safari Lodge
Time: 7:40 (Check-in); 8:30 (Opening remarks); 2:00 (Closing remarks)
Refreshments and lunch will be provided. Due to the highly emotional and sensitive nature of the day, this event is primary intended for adults only. However, we do offer a separate Kids Program.
Registration is free or by a suggested donation of $20 per person or per family. Those wishing to donate can bring cash or cheque with them to the SOS Day event or donate online here. Kids Program: Attendees of Survivors of Suicide Loss Day are welcome to bring their children (ages 7 - 12) to participate in the kids program - an opportunity for children to share their own experience with suicide in a child-friendly environment. Children will arrive with their parents to the Safari Lodge and will be accompanied by a member of our counselling team to the kids program following opening remarks.
